Investment and Valuation Model
Eligible startups can receive two stages of investments from R.A.I.N to support their growth and development i.e. First and Second Investment
First Stage Investment
Once the necessary criteria are met, R.A.I.N invests €30,000 in your startup in exchange for 6% to 10% equity, with the startup’s valuation estimated between €300,000 and €500,000.
Second Stage Investment
When the predefined targets are met following the first investment, R.A.I.N invests an additional €20,000 in your startup with the valuation being €1,000,000, resulting into R.A.I.N acquiring an additional 2% equity in your startup.

Our program is designed to support startups that align with our mission of driving sustainable development across Africa and beyond. To identify and select the most promising ventures, we use the following criteria:

Legally Operating: Startups must be registered and compliant with local laws and regulations.

Initial Revenue: We seek ventures that have begun generating revenue, showing market validation and early traction.

Growth Potential: We look for startups with the ability to scale operations and enter new markets.

Our Operation Strategy

Our Pilot Phase
During this one-year phase, selected startups receive initial angel investment funding and mentorship to kick-start their journey. Due Diligence: We carefully evaluate startups, considering their business model, financial health, market potential, team, legal compliance, and risks to guide our investment decisions. Pre-selection: We screen startups based on our investment criteria, choosing those with high potential for impact and success. Online Pitch Event: Founders pitch to investors from Europe and Uganda, building valuable connections and opportunities. Open Selection: We select mentors from Uganda and Europe to provide support and aid in the startups' growth. Equity Investment: After thorough analysis, we invest €20-50k in selected startups. Continuous Mentorship: We provide ongoing mentorship and support to startups for their long-term success.
Our Scaling Phase
Startups that have passed our pilot phase and meet all requirements will be prioritized for this stage. At this stage, startups will have access to more substantial funding, both local and international networking, and mentorship with global investors. The goal is to channel investments effectively and maximize impact
Revolving Evergreen Fund
We reinvest all profits from our investments into new startups, creating a cycle of growth and ongoing support for emerging entrepreneurs.
